Eco Village Lesten is one of the most attractive and authentic rural villages in Bulgaria, located in South-West Bulgaria, high in the Pirin mountain. The rentable part of the Eco Village Leshten includes 15 of all 30 houses. That means that you can rent the whole house or only a room of it. It offers accomodition in 21 Double rooms, 2 Quad rooms and 4 Suites. There are rooms with bedroom suits and room with one or two separate beds. Some of the houses have living rooms with all extras.
All of the houses are renovated and equipped with telephones, TV sets and other modern facilities. |
The village of Leshten consists of about 30 houses. All of the houses in the village are build in old architecture style, typical for the old Bulgarian villages.
Half of the houses are rentable. The other half are used by the local inhabitants or are turned into taverns.
All the houses have spacious verandahs, pretty yards and cozy mechanas, which provide opportunity to the tourists to prepare their own food out of the ecological local farms’ products. |

The tourists can also enjoy the delicious food at the restaurant and the two taverns.
Eco Village Leshten offers a Dining hall with 25 seats; a restaurant with 40 seats and a restaurant-garden with 40 seats.
There are also two taverns with 50 seats each. Bulgarian folklore music makes the atmosphere very authentic. The taverns serve delicious traditional meals and are supplied with products entirely by the personal farms of the owners.

All of the houses and mechanas and taverns are connected to the main street which goes through the village. This street is covered with the typical for its time road surface called "kaldarum".
The guests of the village can go shopping at the local stores or just spend your day walking among the old houses.

The rich variety of choice for a memorable holiday includes opportunities for hunting, fishing, horseback riding, mountain walks, etc.
Tourists can go swimming in the nearby spa-resort Ognjanovo (5 km), which is equipped with open and covered swimming pools; gather mushrooms and herbs along the mountain paths; visit the ethnographic complexes Kovachevitsa (7 km), Dolen (20 km) and Delchevo (18 km); pay a visit to the Rozenski Monastery near the town of Melnik (60 km) or the famous ski-resort Bansko (50 km). |
It is possible to rent a jeep with a driver and visit the forest preserve “Tumnata Gora” (The Dark Forest), famous with the beech-wood and fir-trees, the rock formations known as “Goat’s Stone” and “The Black Rock”, the Kanina River canyon and the picaresque site “Sini Vir” (Blue Pool).
The guests of Eco Village Leshten can enjoy the collection of instruments and woven clothes and that of paintings and ancient photographs, which present the ethnographic and cultural heritage of the village.
